Accountant

Robert Half is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant in Brandenburg, KY. The accountant will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records and reports. This position requires expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation, while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and best practices. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement.Key Responsibilities:General Accounting Operations:Manage the day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger updates.Ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:Process vendor invoices and subcontractor payments promptly to maintain good relationships and avoid payment delays.Manage accounts receivable, track AR aging, and follow up on outstanding payments.Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, P& L statements, and cash flow reports.Provide meaningful financial insights to leadership through variance analysis and forecasting.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for departmental and organizational planning.Monitor budgets to ensure adherence and identify opportunities for cost containment.Compliance and Audit Support:Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.Prepare schedules and support documentation for external audits, as required.Process Improvement:Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.Support the transition to new accounting software or systems, if applicable.

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
