HOW WE ARE PROTECTING OUR EMPLOYEES

At Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented additional processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized daily.

This is a full-time position is based at our Farm in Point Reyes Station.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Creamery Sanitation Associate will work under the supervision and direction of the Lead Cheesemakers to assist in the creamery area, with a special focus on sanitation tasks. They assist with daily operations and work as a team to comply with our company, state and federal food safety policies and regulations. Working in a team is a key to meet daily goals and keep the creamery functioning in a clean and orderly manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Assists in the completion of sanitation activities throughout creamery

· Cleans and sanitizes equipment

· Responsible for end of shift sanitation protocols

· Work in cheese aging rooms

· Follows all General Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures, along with company Safety and Quality Plan

· Fills in where needed to ensure efficient operations

· Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the responsibilities of the Production Worker, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift, transport, pull and push up to 50 pounds regularly. Must be able to regularly stand, walk, lift Carry, Push, Pull, Climb, Bend, and perform other general duties. Be physically able to work an eight (8) hour day or more while on your feet as this position will spend 90% of the time standing; climbing, reaching, walking, sitting, grasping, repetitive motions, visual acuity, and hearing.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED DAYS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work must be flexible, weekends may be required.
