DESCRIPTION
Seeking a male actor, age 45–70, for The Analyst, a one-actor, one-act play selected for the Newburgh Fringe Festival in Newburgh, New York October 16-18, 2026
The production is anticipated to have two performances. The play runs approximately one hour and is staged in the style of a documentary interview.
The role requires an actor who can shift quickly and convincingly between controlled rage, intellectual confidence, vulnerability, and condescension. The character is a late-career financial analyst and grandfather defending his decision to vote for a president who nearly destroyed him earlier in his career. During the interview, he attempts to justify that choice as events outside his window begin to unravel in real time.
Strong dramatic instincts, stamina, and comfort carrying a full-length solo performance are essential.
Compensation: $2,000 flat fee covering rehearsals and two anticipated performances. A travel stipend will be provided and lodging may be arranged. Approximately four to six rehearsals are expected, and will be scheduled in a location convenient to the selected actor.

Union Status: Nonunion. Equity actors may inquire, although any engagement would be subject to an applicable Actors' Equity agreement.
