Responsibilities
- Interact with customers warmly and accurately to determine their service needs through detailed conversations.
- Write clear, comprehensive service orders that include all necessary repairs, maintenance, and recommended upselling opportunities.
- Coordinate with Service Technicians to prioritize repairs and parts.
- Create trucking, ready-to-mow, and in-house schedules.
- Assist with parts searches for the Service Department and the Parts Department.
- Process warranties and/or product improvement claims including computation of charges, submissions, and follow-ups
- Coordinate and work with the Service Department Manager to schedule promotional mailings and in-house specials
- Answer service calls and incoming store calls, providing accurate information and answers.
- Maintain Service Department records and files, including updates for customer profiles
- Manage collection issues, including follow-up calls and letters to ensure timely payments.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment up to 100 pounds.
Skills
- Previous work experience in a Service and/or Parts Department.
- Experience using lawn & garden equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting basic problems.
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Good computer skills, including experience with standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office applications and internet functions, and the ability to easily adapt to new systems and/or updates, and efficient typing skills.
- Multi-tasking in a busy work environment while providing a high level of customer service.
- Must work well with others and flourish in a group and team environment.
Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
