Job Overview
The full-time Parts Associate role is an integral role with Robert E. Little, Inc./Little's John Deere Dealerships. The primary job functions are to provide quality customer service while assessing customer needs by taking orders, finding products using computers, phones, and in-house inventory procedures, invoicing, shipping, tranfers. This role includes providing parts knowledge support to the Service and Sales Departments, average to above-average computer skills, commitment to the company's business needs, willingness to participate in on-the-job training, and cleaning and care of the dealership showroom, working inside and outside all year round. Seasonal overtime and working on Saturdays with varied hours are requirements for this role. Able to frequently move parts weighing up to 50-75 pounds; able to ascend/descend steps and ladders, as well as sit/stand/bend over/be on feet for extended periods of time; experience with lawn and garden equipment parts is a plus. Forklift training and certification is provided with on-the-job training. There is a 90-day probationary period for all new hires. PA state background checks and pre-employment screenings are required prior to employment offers.
Responsibilities
- Inventory control, including stocking, order fulfillment, and maintaining accurate records using inventory management systems software programs
- Process sales transactions accurately through cashiering and retail math calculations
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with professionalism and integrity
- Support the sales team with marketing efforts and upselling products and services
- Maintain a clean and organized Parts Department to facilitate efficient operations
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members via phone etiquette, in-person interactions, email, and other software programs
- Ensure proper documentation of transactions and inventory updates using multiple software programs
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, or service is preferred
- Background in inventory management, retail sales, and/or dealership environments is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with inventory control software is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with phone and email etiquette proficiency
- Knowledge of automotive parts, vehicle maintenance procedures, and automotive repair processes is beneficial
- Familiarity with retail math and dealership operations will enhance success in this role

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
