Design Mission-Critical Infrastructure That Keeps the Lights On
At Robert E. Lamb, Inc., we design and engineer the facilities that help utility companies monitor and manage the electrical grid. From control centers and operations centers to high-reliability data centers, our work supports critical infrastructure across North America.
We're looking for a Mechanical Designer who enjoys turning engineering concepts into high-quality construction documents while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and designers across multiple disciplines.
What You'll Do
- Develop HVAC and plumbing system layouts for new construction and renovation projects
- Create construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
- Assist with HVAC load calculations, ventilation calculations, and equipment sizing
- Perform field investigations and document existing conditions
- Coordinate designs with architectural, electrical, civil, and structural teams
- Prepare schedules, specifications, and project documentation
- Participate in QA/QC reviews and implement design revisions
- Support projects from concept development through construction documentation
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of HVAC or mechanical design experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Revit experience preferred
- Experience producing construction documents
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and industry standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
