Robert E. Lamb, Inc. specializes in the planning, design, and engineering of high-reliability facilities that support utility companies across North America. Their projects include utility operations centers, control rooms, data centers, and other mission-critical facilities that help keep essential infrastructure running.
We're seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical system design for new construction and renovation projects. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop schematic and construction-level documentation for complex facility projects.
What You'll Do
- Develop electrical system layouts including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, communications, and low-voltage systems for new and existing facilities.
- Prepare schematic design and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Conduct site surveys and document existing electrical systems and field conditions.
- Perform electrical calculations including load calculations, voltage drop calculations, panel schedules, lighting calculations, and equipment sizing.
- Support the design of electrical distribution systems, emergency power systems, UPS systems, generators, lighting controls, and branch circuiting.
- Collaborate with in-house architectural, mechanical, structural, and civil teams to develop coordinated designs.
- Participate in QA/QC reviews and incorporate feedback into project deliverables.
- Support the preparation of specifications, panel schedules, lighting fixture schedules, and equipment schedules.
Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of electrical design experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Education or coursework in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with electrical design standards and codes such as NEC, NFPA, and IEEE is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Salary Range: $125,000-$185,000 DOE.
