The Logistics Support Specialist will coordinate the activities and operations of the warehouse. This position will assist operation activities
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database.
- Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
- Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse.
- Coordinates shipments with Service Manager.
- Manages daily flow of products by modifying storage space assignments.
- Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
- Delivers materials to jobsites.
- Directs forklift drivers to store goods in identified areas.
- Operates forklift truck as needed.
- Assist with the training of new hires.
- Handle UPS & FEDEX shipments.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
- Assist with and coordinate facility maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
- Valid state motor vehicle operator's license for forklift truck required.
- Ability to operate a vehicle that meets DOT company standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
- Ability to move around the warehouse.
