Stanger, founded in 1978, has provided information, research, financial advisory and consulting services to clients located throughout the United States, including major New York Stock Exchange member firms, insurance companies and over seventy companies engaged in the management and operation of partnerships and real estate investment trusts. The financial advisory activities of Stanger include strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, advisory and fairness opinion services, asset and securities valuations, industry and company analysis, and litigation support and expert witness services in connection with both publicly registered and privately placed securities transactions. Stanger, as part of its financial advisory business, is regularly engaged in the valuation of businesses and their securities in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations and for estate, tax, corporate and other purposes. Stanger’s valuation practice principally involves real estate investment trusts and partnerships, and the securities issued by, and the assets owned through such entities including, but not limited to, real properties and property interests.


Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of financial projects and gain experience in the investment banking industry. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis, including building and maintaining financial models.
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends and insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support senior analysts and team members with research and data collection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and market developments.
  • Participate in client meetings and assist in developing solutions to meet client needs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience in financial services or equivalent, preferably in analyzing financial statements and performance models
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software, including the abilities to collect and organize large data sets, use MS Excel to analyze data and create high-quality charts and graphs
  • Understanding of financial accounting concepts; prior experience with GAAP preferred
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within the role and adapt to new challenges
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a deadline oriented, fast paced environment
