Health Services Education Assistant On-call Substitute

Essential Functions
- Will be trained to: perform selected emergency procedures and student specific nursing tasks (changing students, supporting center based classrooms with personal hygiene needs, tube feed students)
- Assist the LSN/LPN to implement professional school nursing roles.
- Administer medication to students as delegated by the LSN and in accordance with district policies and procedures.
- Assist with school health office functions and their planning and preparation (e.g. vision/hearing screening) as directed by the LSN.
- Willingness to lift, carry and physically manage as necessary.
- Clerical tasks such as record keeping, computer input and filing.
- Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Current first aid certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Computer and other clerical skills.
- Ability to work well with students, staff and parents.
