About the Role:
The Experienced Maintenance Technician in Property Management plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of multi-family properties. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance to uphold property standards and tenant satisfaction. The technician will collaborate closely with property managers and vendors to address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions. By proactively identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions, the technician helps extend the lifespan of property assets and reduces long-term costs.
Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related technical field, preferably within property management.
- Proficiency in performing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs. HVAC certification required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between properties as needed..
Maintenance Technician Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with property management software and maintenance tracking systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of property systems and structures to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively.
- Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests, ensuring high-quality service and clear communication throughout the resolution process.
- Participate in Emergency/After Hour On-call for resident emergencies, including nights and weekends.
