Inside Sales Representative / CSR
Irrigation-Mart is a family-owned irrigation distribution business that opened in 1978. Today we have 3 locations, our
Corporate Headquarters in Ruston, LA and two satellite offices in Baton Rouge, LA and San Juan, TX. Irrigation-Mart is a leading distributor for irrigation, drainage, and hardscape products for the agricultural, nursery, forestry, and landscape markets.
Primary Product Lines
Agricultural: Netafim, Jain, Toro, Rivulis, Kifco, Yardney, Fresno Valves, and others.
Landscape: Weathermatic, Toro, Irritrol, RainBird, K-Rain
Drainage: ADS/Hancor, NDS, East Jordan Iron Works, Nyloplast and many more.
Hardscape: Versa-Loc, Belgard, and others.
We currently have an opening for an Inside Sales Representative /CSR at our Ruston, LA location. This is a full-time, front-line sales position. The preferred candidate for this position should have 3-5 years of industry experience and be comfortable with designing, troubleshooting, and selling irrigation systems and components. Applicants should possess a strong work ethic and be able to work in a team atmosphere with a sense of urgency while providing assistance to our large customer base in parts selection, up-selling and accessorizing either in person or by telephone.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide our customers technical product assistance & advice for their irrigation, drainage, and hardscape related needs
- Assist customers through the entire sales process of asking for the sale, order entry, order pulling, and assisting the customer to load the order as needed
- Follow proper procedure in handling cash tickets & balancing cash drawer
- Work with our sales/support team to enhance customer satisfaction
- Assist with scheduling and ensuring timely delivery of product
- Work with other associates to facilitate a team atmosphere
- Process warranties & returns. Ensure warranty returns are expedited to the manufacturer
- Assist other associates and departments when necessary
- Maintain a neat & efficient workspace and aid in restocking the showroom and parts bins
- Monitoring inventory to ensure availability of regularly purchased items. Work with Purchasing Department to ensure maximum efficiency of inventory management
- Assists with inventory spot counts and all forms of inventory control
- Other duties as assigned which may include driving company vehicle
Desired Experience/Requirements:
- Inside / Counter Sales: 3 years
- Landscape, Irrigation or Green Industry product knowledge: 2 years
- Customer Service: 3 years
