- Lead, coach, and support the Medical Record Verifier team.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team meetings.
- Provide real-time guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Promote employee engagement, accountability, and professional development.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members (if any).
- Monitor team productivity, quality, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct spot checks and ensure compliance with company protocols, HIPAA regulations, and quality standards.
- Address performance gaps through coaching, corrective action plans, and ongoing development.
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Senior Management to drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of medical records, billing statements, invoices, and correspondence.
- Monitor workloads, prioritize urgent requests, and ensure balanced work distribution.
- Manage attendance, timecards, PTO requests, scheduling, and performance documentation.
- Ensure proper use of operational systems, document management, and established workflows.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for operational and workflow issues.
- Reinforce new policies, procedures, and system updates.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency, quality, and team performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement operational initiatives and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of medical records, healthcare documentation, billing statements, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and operational systems such as NOVA.
