Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including cinnamon rolls, bread, pastries, and cookies following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and decorating tools efficiently and safely
- Ensure all baked items meet quality standards through proper food handling and recipe adherence
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using piping bags, and other decorating tools to create visually appealing products
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety management standards
- Package baked goods securely for retail display or catering orders while maintaining product integrity
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as dough preparation, portioning ingredients, and assembling ingredients for various recipes
Experience
- Proven experience in food production or bakery environments with high-volume baking experience preferred
- Strong pastry preparation skills along with cake decorating expertise
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels
- Excellent customer service skills to engage with clients when needed
- Previous catering or culinary experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
