What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Lead Event Barista position at ROAST COFFEE COMPANY?
Roast Coffee Company is the largest events-based coffee company you’ve never heard of. We design and execute high-impact Espresso Bars, Carts, and Kiosks for major bands, national festivals, corporate events, and large-scale productions across the country. We’ve served in 28 states and continue to expand.
We are NOT a typical coffee shop. We are an event-based production team that happens to serve exceptional coffee.
If you want a predictable café shift, this isn’t for you. If you want to operate at a high level in fast-paced, high-visibility environments — keep reading.
What to Expect:
This is a front-row seat to the event world.
You’ll travel, work behind the scenes at major events, collaborate with production teams, and serve influential guests, all while mastering your craft as a barista.
You will:
· Execute under real pressure
· Build Kiosks, Carts, and Espresso Bars on-site
· Represent Roast and our clients at a high level
· Deliver hospitality at scale
· Operate like a professional, not a hobbyist
Our team members don’t just “make coffee.” We build experiences, manage chaos calmly, and elevate every room we enter.
If you’re ambitious, this role will sharpen you. If you’re complacent, it will expose you.
What You’ll Do
Your role is simple but serious: Make the event run smoothly. No excuses. No drama. Just execution. You will travel to destinations. Load in and setup espresso bars, Kiosk, and/or Coffee Carts. Execute the event at a high level with consistency and professionalism. Represent Roast Coffee Company at a premium level and pack out efficiently, leaving the venue better than we found it.
You’re a Fit If:
· You have experience in hospitality, events, coffee, fine dining, bars, catering, hotels, production, touring, or live music and you understand what high standards look like.
· You take ownership. If something is wrong, you fix it.
· You stay composed under pressure and actually perform better when things get intense.
· You move with urgency and purpose.
· You are coachable, adaptable, and hungry to improve.
· You can lift 60 pounds and handle equipment without complaint.
· You care about professionalism: how you show up, how you speak, and how you represent a brand.
This is a team of professionals…not clock-punchers.
Training & Growth
Barista experience is important and require you to have at least 3-years of reputable barista experience.
We will train you in The Roast Way - our systems, standards, and approach to hospitality. If you commit, you will leave sharper than you arrived.
This is ideal if you want exposure to the events world and want to grow your skillset in an environment that demands excellence.
Events are predictably unpredictable. Flexibility is required.
Pay ranges from $16–$20/hour TIPS. Pay is dependent on experience and ability, with growth opportunities for those who prove themselves indispensable.
If you want to be part of something growing and you’re ready to earn your place, you should apply. We are selective in who joins our Events Team. We look for professionals who take ownership, move with urgency, and elevate the room. If that’s you, we’d love to meet you.
