Veterinary Technician for Veterinary Surgery Clinic
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Roaring Fork Veterinary Surgery. The successful candidate will assist in providing high-quality surgical care, support a veterinary surgeon, and ensure the well-being and comfort of our canine and feline patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and surgical areas for procedures
- Assist veterinarian during surgical procedures, including monitoring anesthesia
- Provide pre- and post-operative care and monitoring
- Perform diagnostic tests, blood draws, and sample collection
- Clean and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Educate clients about surgical procedures and aftercare
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure client safety and comfort during procedures
Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVMT or equivalent)
- Previous experience in surgical procedures preferred
- Previous experience with monitoring anesthesia preferred
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and adaptable
