- *$56,809 to $89,509 (Based on education and years of relevant working experience) *The annual salary listed above is based on a full-time, 8-hour workday (FTE 1) and a full working calendar. - The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will diagnose and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients aged 0-21. They will assess patient abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy using evidence-based practices. The SLP will also educate and support patients and families, maintain comprehensive records, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and supervise the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or equivalent (required for Colorado Department of Education licensure).
- Must be eligible for licensure through the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certification preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Conduct evaluations and diagnose speech/language disorders.
- Develop and provide therapy for speech, language, and swallowing issues.
- Use evidence-based practices for treatment.
- Educate and support patients and families.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Work with other professionals and refer when necessary.
- Stay current with new research and techniques.
- Adapt treatment for diverse populations.
- Oversee SLPAs.
- May include, light travel, standing and walking for extended periods; bend, stoop, and lift materials; reach for supplies on high shelves; use manual dexterity for tasks like writing and using technology; communicate clearly and effectively with students; climb stairs in multi-level buildings.
