What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reading / Math Tutor position at Roanoke City School District?
RCPS is accepting applications for Reading / Mathematics Tutors to work on a temporary basis. Work schedules will vary depending on needs of the school, but will not exceed a total of 29 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, English, or Science
- Possess effective reading, writing, and computation skills
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills
- Must have demonstrated the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Acceptance of flexible work schedule
- Dependability and punctuality required
