Full Time Pharmacy Technician
Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV a Critical Access Hospital with 35 SNF/ICF beds, 25 acute care beds, Level IV Trauma Emergency Department, three Rural Health Clinics and a walk-in clinic is currently seeking applicants for a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacist with preparation and delivery of medication. Applicant must be able to compound pharmaceutical preparations and package them appropriately, receive and store incoming supplies, keep accurate count of stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records. Applicant will be responsible for processing records for medication and equipment dispensed to patients, preparing intravenous solutions (IV), and cleaning equipment and sterilizing according to procedural method. Must be able to follow procedures for patient medication brought from home, participate in monthly nursing station audits and performance improvement process.
Applicant must work well with others, demonstrate awareness and compliance of pertinent hospital policies and procedures, maintain a safe environment for self and others. Applicant must demonstrate competency of concepts and skills and maintain tactful effective communication.
To be considered the applicant must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and be Certified or Pending Certification in the State of WV or have a National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
