Before & After School Program/Wee-Bee Head Coordinator
Description:
The BASP/Wee-Bee Head Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the BASP and Wee-Bee sites, training and working with site coordinators and staff to create a safe, caring and enriching environment for all children at all times. The BASP/Wee-Bee Head Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring that all policies and childcare standards are met in regards to day-to-day operations including maintaining up to date records, ensuring supervision policies are implemented, guiding the behavior or children, and managing staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure sites are following TN Standards for School-Administered Childcare
Recruit, interview, and hire qualified employees
Maintain attendance records, schedules, training requirements, payroll and other reports as requested
keep up-to-date records of employees
Maintain accurate fiscal records (grant funds, deposits, payments, etc)
Develop and plan activities appropriate for infants to school aged children
Supervision and evaluation of all BASP and Wee-Bee employees
Provide care for children when employees are absent
Ensure the safety of all children by training staff and monitoring supervision standards
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with staff, families, and children
Strong organizational skills
Ability to problem solve and make decisions that adhere to program guidelines
1-3 years experience working with children and adults in a group setting
