What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaner with Path to Property Manager -- Short-Term Rentals - Brevard position at Roamly Getaways?
We're looking for a reliable person to join our turnover crew and get our properties clean between guests. We're a small, family-run short-term rental business just outside Brevard, NC in Pisgah Forest. We have 3 luxury Airstreams and are adding 2 small houses this summer.
This starts as a part-time cleaning role (roughly 10–15 hours/week), but we want someone who can grow into more — eventually around 25 hours/week. This job will start off with detail-oriented cleaning and hot tub care (paid on-the-job training provided), and the right person could grow into guest communication, scheduling, admin, and general property management on top of the cleaning. To be clear: this won't become a property-management-only role, and likely won't grow into full-time work — though the admin and guest communication side could eventually be done remotely.

The work:
- Turnovers: cleaning and staging units to a high standard — we take our 5-star reviews seriously
- Hot tub testing and maintenance (we'll train you)
- Most shifts fall between 10 AM and 4 PM; some are short (a single turnover runs ~2–3 hours), so living nearby is a big perk
- Last-minute schedule changes happen often, so flexibility is ideal
- Detailed checklists required every shift — we don't micromanage, but our standards are high
The future work once earned:
- Guest communication
- Management and scheduling of our cleaning team
- Back end admin operations. (Must be highly detail oriented and tech savvy - but we can teach you the specifics)
Physical demands: This work is physically demanding with frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting/carrying items up to ~40 lbs (laundry, supplies, propane tanks). Reasonable accommodations considered for qualified individuals.
You'll need: a smartphone you're comfortable using for scheduling and communication and to live within a reasonable distance of Brevard / Pisgah Forest.
This is a W2 position. If you need a 40-hour/week job, this isn't it.
