Roaming Rooster is hiring a Catering Sales Representative to grow catering sales across the DC Metro area. This is a commission-based, sales-first role focused on prospecting local businesses, closing orders, and building recurring catering accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and build a pipeline of catering customers near our locations (offices, schools, hospitals, property managers, venues, community groups)
- Drive outbound outreach: emails, calls, in-person visits, and sample drops
- Convert inquiries and leads into confirmed catering orders
- Turn one-time orders into recurring accounts (weekly/monthly)
- Coordinate accurate handoffs to store teams to ensure on-time, high-quality fulfillment
- Track basic activity and results (leads, sample drops, orders closed, recurring accounts)
Commission Plan
- 20% commission on one-time catering orders you close
- Recurring accounts: 20% on the first order 10% ongoing for 12 months
(Commission paid on fulfilled/collected orders.)
What We’re Looking For
- 1 year experience in sales, catering sales, or B2B account development (preferred)
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Comfortable being in the field and meeting clients in person
- Organized, reliable, and motivated by commission
Location & Schedule
- Territory: Washington, DC Metro (DC nearby MD/VA)
- Flexible schedule, primarily weekday business hours; some early/occasionally weekends based on catering needs
