Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food preparation tools safely and efficiently
- Assemble pizzas with precision, adhering to recipe specifications and presentation guidelines
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect crusts and toppings every time
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to uphold health regulations and cleanliness standards
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or ingredient combinations based on customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Support high-volume production during busy periods while ensuring consistency in quality and portion control
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, especially in pizza making or fine dining environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience with food industry standards such as recipe adherence, food production, and meal preparation
- Ability to work quickly in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with culinary techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food plating is a plus
- Excellent knife skills and experience with high-volume production environments are highly desirable
