We are seeking a Foreman/Driver who is primarily responsible for both driving and acting as Foreman for jobs.
Responsibilities
- Must provide excellent customer service and interact with clients professionally and courteously.
- Ensures motor vehicle safety during driving, backing, parking, and all transport activities.
- Completes pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintains required job documentation.
- Properly reports and documents accidents, incidents, violations, and safety matters per company policy.
- Verifies loads, secures cargo, and ensures safe transport from point A to B.
- Complies with all traffic laws and state/federal DOT regulations, including maintaining accurate work-hour logs.
- Coordinates closely with dispatch, plans routes, and meets delivery schedules.
- Performs daily truck maintenance and reports mechanical issues before driving.
- Loads and unloads trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed.
- Leads and motivates moving teams, ensures safe work environments, follows procedures, maintains professionalism, and completes other assigned duties.
- At least 2 years of driving experience with a 26 ft truck.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have recently passed a DOT physical fitness exam (required every 2 years).
- Moving experience required.
- Knowledge of federal and multi-state DOT laws, driver regulations, and moving requirements is required.
- Strong customer service experience is required.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced, time-critical environment is required.
- Skilled in problem-solving, working safely, and adapting quickly to changing job demands.
- Basic English verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Must be a flexible, self-directed team player able to work 40 hours with frequent overtime/weekends, with physical demands including driving, standing/walking, and occasional bending, climbing, and exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and temperature extremes.
