We're currently looking for an Inventory Handler to support our operations team. This hands-on role is key to keeping our shop running smoothly managing incoming parts, organizing inventory, and ensuring everything is where it needs to be when it's needed.
Job Summary:
The Inventory Handler is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials and products within the warehouse. This role ensures inventory is properly maintained, tracked, and available to meet production and shipping demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of materials or products
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or internal use
- Maintain and update inventory records using inventory management systems
- Perform regular cycle counts and report discrepancies
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as required
- Organize inventory in designated storage areas for easy access and efficiency
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies
- Assist with audits, stock checks, and inventory reconciliations
- Communicate with team members and other departments to resolve inventory issues
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of inventory, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory software a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse or production environment
- May require use of PPE (e.g., safety shoes, gloves)
- Variable hours including possible overtime
