What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upfit Technician position at RoadSafe Traffic Systems?
Responsibilities
Manage and complete the truck build process from cab and chassis to finished products, including Truck Bed Mounting, Truck truck-mounted attenuator (Crash Cushion), Arrow/Message Board, and supporting parts.
Manage and complete repair and maintenance of parts related to the truck build in the shop and the field.
Ability to obtain Commercial Driver’s License Class B or higher.
Ability to follow written/oral instructions; operate and adequately use a variety of warehouse equipment including but not limited to forklift, pallet jack, truck tie downs, and cargo security/load bracing apparatus.
Completes repairs within performance standards guidelines as set by Road Safe Truck Sales under the supervision of the Fleet Supervisor.
Complete routine forms related to day-to-day or recurring job tasks.
Assists inventories of equipment and supplies
Attends service and training programs.
Checks jobs for materials and equipment
Performs other related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Shop and construction environment; some climbing, stooping, and lifting. The physical environment requires both inside and outside in heat/cold, and wet/dry conditions. May be requested to work overtime and weekends and occasional overnight stay
