What You’ll Do
As a Vehicle Transport Driver, you’ll safely transport a variety of vehicles throughout the Chicago Metro Area while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high safety standards.
Each day, you’ll report to a designated hub or store location, receive assignments through our dispatch technology, and transport vehicles to their destinations throughout the day.
No two days are exactly the same. While much of your day may involve working independently, there will also be times when you coordinate with other Roadrunners drivers. Depending on daily transportation needs, you may shuttle with other drivers between hubs, store locations, or vehicle pickup and delivery points before continuing with your individual assignments.
This is not a traditional crew-based position where you work alongside the same group all day. The amount of independent driving versus team coordination will vary from day to day based on routes, vehicle volume, and operational needs.

Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver vehicles throughout the Chicago Metro Area
- Conduct vehicle inspections and verify VIN numbers
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
- Utilize mobile apps and company technology for assignments and inspections
- Maintain safety and professionalism at all times
- Drive in varying traffic and weather conditions
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay: $15-16/hour

What We’re Looking For
- Must be at least 25 years old
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to drive for extended periods throughout the day
- Comfortable working outdoors and in large parking lots
- Strong attention to detail during vehicle inspections
- Comfortable using mobile applications and technology
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable attendance and weekend availability required
