The primary responsibilities of the Team Manager include ensuring seamless shift execution, meeting established restaurant goals and objectives, and being accountable for their team.
To excel in this role, you must be enthusiastic about the business of restaurants and aim to attain a high level of proficiency in food, beverage, and service execution.
You will be responsible for balancing daily operations, managing people and product, handling administrative tasks, and consistently applying systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Holding hourly staff accountable through timely feedback and coaching, following disciplinary guidelines when necessary.
- Responsible for staff education, menu meetings, and maintaining a focus on professionalism, appearance, and guest satisfaction.
- Executing new hire training and ongoing training follow-up in a consistent and timely manner.
- Maintaining proper staffing levels throughout all shifts.
- Ensuring the restaurant remains clean and guest satisfaction is prioritized, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Providing leadership and serving as a role model for fellow managers and all staff members.
Business Financials
- Developing an understanding of the P&L statement and actively participating in P&L meetings.
- Accountable for cash handling, including opening and closing bank drawer reconciliation, bank deposits, change orders, check writing, and reconciliation.
- Supervising/communicating with hourly staff and management to achieve budgeted costs regarding labor, food, beverage, and controllable expenses.
