What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Roadex Solutions LLC?
Flat Rate Funding Group, LLC is a financial services company specializing in the transportation/freight industry and located in Livonia, Michigan.
We are growing quickly and are looking for the right people to help us continue our growth trajectory! We are seeking an experienced Controller to play a critical role on our team.
The Controller will have a hands-on, active role in the monthly account analysis, book close and for supervising the accounting department. You will also help with financial modeling, forecasting and strategic initiatives.
- Account reconciliation and analysis: Prepaid Expenses, Deposits, Accrued Expenses, Investments, Capital Leases, Members Equity, Inter-company balances
- Journal Entries including maintenance of recurring journal entries and allocations
- Coordinate the monthly book close
- Oversee A/R, credit and collections
- Manage the banking activities including deposits, cash management and reconciliation
- Plan, coordinate and execute annual financial audit
- Assist in the compilation of information for the Company’s annual tax returns
- Develop and implement policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls
- Special projects as required
- Manage existing accounting team, and department expansion
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting
CPA or CA preferred
3 to 5 years’ experience in a professional accounting role
Excellent communication skills required
Good computer skills including Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel and Google Sheets
MUST have experience with QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online experience preferred)
Able to handle multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Salary : $60,000 - $100,000
