Job Description:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods.
- California to Texas runs
- Out 2 weeks at a time
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates.
- Properly secure and handle freight to prevent damage during transit.
Duties:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are safe and compliant.
- Complete timely pickups and deliveries according to scheduled routes and dispatch instructions.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
- Secure and handle freight properly to prevent damage during loading, transport, and unloading.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A
- 3 years' experience
- Dry van experience required
- Comfortable securing/tarping when required
- Clean MVR, PSP, and CDLIS
- Safety-focused and dependable
- Able to commit to OTR rotations
