Position Overview

As a Shop Tech, you will work out of our centralized Indianapolis shop facility. No windshield time, no fighting traffic across Marion County, and no unpredictable outdoor elements. You’ll work alongside a supportive team of experienced mechanics to diagnose, service, and repair equipment/vehicles in a clean, organized, indoor environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics, routine maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs in-shop on light, medium, and heavy duty vehicles.
• Test and inspect equipment or vehicles using modern diagnostic tools and shop equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace adhering to all shop safety standards.
• Collaborate with the management team and parts counter to ensure timely turnaround times.
• Clearly document all completed work and parts used.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a mechanic, service technician, or shop tech (automotive, diesel, industrial, or equipment background welcome).
• Heavy focus on gas engine and light duty electrical diagnostics.
• Own set of standard tools (specialty shop tools provided).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset.
• A dependable team player with a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the shop daily.
