Job Summary
We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our small team. The ideal candidate will possess a mechanical knowledge and some experience in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and all related systems. Looking for someone eagar to learn and advance in their career. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our customer's fleet. The Technician will work in a hands-on environment with the owner to diagnos and repair vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components, including HVAC systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Weld and fabricate parts as necessary to support repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Operate machinery safely while performing tasks.
- Work with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role (1-2 year minimium).
- Mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions/clutch systems, elecrical systems.
- Experience with welding and fabrication is preferred.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Pass a drug test.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
