Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations of facilities and ensure they are functioning efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of the premises and equipment to identify any issues that require attention.
- Direct and manage the maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team performance.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all facilities.
- Proven experience as a maintenance manager or similar role in a commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in managing a team.
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and develop effective solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff and vendors.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
