As a video editor working with our team, you’ll support the development of performance-driven creative across Ro’s paid social channels. This role is focused on creating and iterating on a high volume of video work, primarily in 9x16, across platforms like Meta and TikTok.
We’re looking for a strong, well-rounded editor who can bring a high level of craft and polish to the work—from pacing, sound, and storytelling to color and final finishing. You’ll collaborate closely with creative and growth partners to bring ideas to life quickly while maintaining a premium bar for execution.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can jump into projects quickly, work independently, and own edits from initial concept or footage through final delivery.
This role reports to the Associate Director, Edit & VFX.

Create compelling 9x16 video ads that balance strong storytelling, brand expression, and performance goals.

Own edits from rough cut through final delivery, including pacing, sound design, color, finishing, and overall polish.

Edit in Premiere and After Effects, incorporating AI tools when they meaningfully improve the creative or workflow.

Produce a high volume of new concepts, variations, and iterations while maintaining a strong level of craft.

Stay current on editing styles, social trends, AI tools, and emerging creative formats, bringing relevant ideas to how Ro shows up across Meta, TikTok, and other channels.

Work closely with creative and growth partners to translate ideas and feedback into finished work quickly and independently.

Excellent editing craft, stylistic breadth, and a strong attention to detail. Your reel demonstrates a strong command of pacing, sound, storytelling, color, and finishing.

Experience creating polished commercial, branded, social, or performance-driven video work. Paid social or direct-response experience is a plus, but not required.

The ability to take an edit from concept or raw footage through a highly polished final deliverable.

Expertise in Premiere and After Effects, with strong color and finishing instincts.

Strong creative judgment and the ability to explore multiple directions without losing sight of the audience, brand, or business objective.

A strong understanding of social platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok, and how editing conventions vary across each.

Comfortable working independently, managing multiple edits and priorities, and communicating clearly with creative partners.

5 years of professional editing experience across advertising, branded content, social, entertainment, or a related field.

The target base salary for this position ranges from $111,800 to $133,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
