What You’ll Do (varies On District)
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, assessments, and screenings for students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide consultation and guidance to support behavioral, emotional, and academic interventions.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to ensure effective support and outcomes.
- Deliver individual and group counseling services as needed to address social-emotional development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Psychology, Educational Psychology, School Psychology, or in a related field (California Commission approved program) with a specialization in school psychology.
- Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS)
- Experience working with school-aged children (supervised experience or internship capacity)
- Strong skills in patient assessment, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluation.
