What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Sector Leader position at RNGD?
About RNGD
RNGD is a rapidly scaling leader in construction driven by a Renegade mindset—challenging conventional approaches to build smarter, faster, and better. With a growing footprint across the Southeast U.S., we are focused on building not just projects—but teams, leaders, and long-term impact in the communities we serve.
Build a Market
RNGD is entering its next phase of growth and we’re not looking for someone to step into an existing lane. We’re looking for a leader to create one. As our Power Sector Leader, you will be responsible for building and scaling RNGD’s presence across power generation, utilities, substations, and energy infrastructure.
This is a rare opportunity to:
- Define a new vertical from the ground up
- Shape strategy, operations, and client engagement
- Win and deliver complex, high-impact projects
- Build a team and platform that didn’t exist before
If you’ve been waiting for the chance to own a market, not inherit one, this is it.
What You’ll Own
This role is built for a leader who wants full accountability and real influence:
Market Creation & Growth
- Define and execute RNGD’s Power sector strategy
- Establish presence across generation, transmission, distribution, and energy infrastructure
- Identify and secure anchor clients and flagship projects
Execution & Operational Leadership
- Lead delivery across complex, high-stakes projects
- Set standards for safety, quality, schedule, and margin
- Build scalable systems to support long-term growth
Client & Industry Leadership
- Serve as RNGD’s executive presence in the power and energy market
- Build trusted relationships with utilities, developers, and EPC partners
- Lead strategic pursuits, negotiations, and key wins
Team & Culture Build
- Recruit and develop a high-performing sector team
- Establish a safety-first, high-accountability culture
- Shape leadership expectations and operating rhythms
Financial Ownership
- Own sector-level P&L, forecasting, and backlog growth
- Drive disciplined decision-making around project selection and risk
Who This Role Is Built For
You are a builder with range; someone who can think strategically and execute operationally.
You likely:
- Have led within power, energy, utilities, or EPC construction environments
- Have experience scaling or launching business units or markets
- Understand how to balance growth, delivery, and financial performance
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and building structure where none exists
- Want greater ownership, visibility, and long-term impact
What Makes This Opportunity Different
- True ownership of a new sector, not a legacy operation
- Direct influence on company growth and strategic direction
- Executive-level visibility and alignment
- The ability to build something your way
Experience
- 10 years of leadership experience in power, energy, utilities, or related construction
- Proven success leading complex projects and teams
- Strong financial and operational acumen
- Track record of building or scaling teams, systems, or business units
RNGD is an equal opportunity employer.
