Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AV Project Manager to oversee audio-visual and low-voltage projects from kickoff through completion. This role requires strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while coordinating internal teams, vendors, builders, and clients.This position is best suited for someone who has hands-on AV industry experience and understands the realities of pre-wire, trim, final installs, scheduling, and change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage AV and low-voltage projects from contract handoff to closeout
- Review scopes of work, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate scheduling with builders, clients, technicians, and internal teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and builder partners
- Track project progress, budgets, materials, and timelines
- Manage change orders, job updates, and scope adjustments
- Ensure projects meet RND quality standards and are delivered on time
- Conduct job site visits as needed to assess progress and resolve issues
- Communicate clearly with technicians regarding expectations, timelines, and scope
- Ensure documentation, job notes, and project records are kept up to date
Qualifications
- 3 years of project management experience in the AV / low-voltage industry
- Familiarity with Control4 and Savant
- Strong understanding of residential AV systems (audio, video, networking, smart home, security)
- Experience managing projects in new construction and retrofit environments
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and AV plans
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable communicating with builders, clients, technicians, and vendors
- Proficient with project management or scheduling software
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
