Tax Manager

TAX MANAGER

RMW Accounting, formerly Jackson & Eklund, is looking for an experienced full-time tax manager to join our team on the Redwood Coast of California. We are seeking a motivated individual who is looking to further develop their current skills and expertise in a team setting. Remote work environment will be considered for the right candidate.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experience with individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax clients, including reviewing and signing of tax returns. Providing clients with tax-related projections and consulting as needed, along with general tax planning. Working as a part of a team to solve problems, do research, and complete projects timely.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities, including C‐corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary returns.
• Review U.S. and state individual income and gift tax returns.
• Prepare tax projections for individual and business clients.
• Conduct tax research as needed.
• Communicate with existing clients and colleagues regarding various tax matters.
• Engage in consulting and special projects as requested by clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of relevant tax experience.
• CPA License preferred, but EA would be considered.
• Experience with CA tax law preferable.
• Ability to work well independently and with a team.
• Proficient with QuickBooks and trial balance software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple client projects in a fast-paced environment.
