Duties
- Monitor and assess the health status of mothers during labour, ensuring timely interventions when necessary
- Administer medications and manage pain relief options in accordance with medical protocols
- Assist with childbirth procedures, including natural deliveries and caesarean sections when required
- Provide emotional support and education to mothers and their families throughout labour and postpartum stages
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatments, and procedures
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Ensure all equipment is sterilised, prepared, and functioning correctly before use
- Educate new mothers on postnatal care, breastfeeding techniques, and newborn care practices
