What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic Shop Supervisor position at RMT Companies Inc.?

Our mechanics perform routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and overhaul trucks and trailers at our maintenance shop. They are also required to do some facilities work, which may include, equipment maintenance and inspections also repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
RMT Quality Repair is a smaller shop, which means you won’t be supervising a large crew. Instead, you’ll work closely with a tight-knit team of experienced mechanics, where your leadership and hands-on approach will directly contribute to the shop’s efficiency. It’s a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact and become an even more valued member of our team.
Pay: $35 - $45. Actual rate of pay depends upon experience.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all federal and state vehicle requirements.
- Morning Meetings with employees.
- Scheduling - Monitoring employee hours.
- Overseeing daily activies in the shop and with employees work.
- Weekly call with Facility Managers.
- Weekly check on consumables and supply list.
- Contribute to improving safety, and effieciency within RMT QR operations and the shop.
Qualifications:
- Leadership and Team Management Skills.
- Experience with diesel and gas engines. (Preffered but not required)
- Familiarity with Safety and Compliance Standards.
