We are looking for a mechanic with a minimum of 5 years' experience with diesel engines and trailer repairs. In support of our truck and trailer fleet, our mechanics perform routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and overhaul trucks and trailers at our maintenance shop. Some facilities work may be required, which may include equipment maintenance and inspections and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
RMT Quality Repair is a smaller shop which means you won't be stuck doing just oil changes. All of our mechanics do every type of work in our shop. This is your opportunity to use all of your skills and maybe learn new ones, which will make you an even more valuable member of our team
Pay: $35 - $45. Actual rate of pay depends upon experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of trucks, trailers and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns.
- Comply with all federal and state vehicle requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience with diesel and gas engines.
- Experience with trailer repairs.
- Brake repair and annual vehicle inspections' experience highly desirable.
- Welding experience highly desirable.
