What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Construction Laborer position at RMS Construction LLC?
ROLE SUMMARY
General Construction Laborers are responsible for executing construction work at the direction of the Site Superintendent, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager. The General Construction Laborer completes work inline with their expertise and capabilities in a timely fashion and of a high quality. This position reports to the Construction Superintendent.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute the work assigned to them by the Superintendent, Project Manager, or Senior Project Manager
- Perform high-quality construction work and, when required, work with peers and managers to ensure the work is the highest quality
- Ensure work is performed in a timely manner
- Identify issues with work, plan, staffing, or schedule and communicate to their managers
- Work with subcontractors on completing components of projects
- Present a clean, professional appearance and polite manner on the job site – especially when interacting with third parties
- Report time accurately for work performed
- Keep Superintendent informed of schedule variances, time off, sick time, and overtime requests
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to operate powered industrial equipment and other similar tools as required.
- Experience using basic hand and power tools is required.
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret procedures and instructions.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced and safety focused environment.
