What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at RMS Construction LLC?
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Accounting Clerk provides support to the accounting team and is responsible for administrative activities associated with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general bookkeeping. This involves recording transactions and reconciling accounts. This role requires basic accounting knowledge and understanding, must be thorough and have great attention to detail. This position reports to the Senior Accountant.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Record transactions into the accounting system and ensure accuracy
• Assist with vendor invoice processing, payments and collections
• Collect and enter required information for new suppliers
• Assist with accounts receivable, including applying customer payments, performing collection activities and producing receivables aging reports
• Perform miscellaneous clerical and administrative tasks with the guidance of the Senior Accountant, and the property management accounting and leasing team
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Fill in for accounting personnel during vacations and time off as needed
• Support the finance function as needed, e.g. filing, photocopying/printing, mailing, check distribution, etc.
Starting Hourly Rate: $22.00
