Utility Collections & Disconnect Technician
RMR Services, LLC, a local utility contractor, is looking for field technicians to join our Credit/Disconnect department.
Job Summary:
· Hours - 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday
· Wage - $24.00 per hour to start.
· Technicians receive daily work orders on a company provided laptop. The orders are organized, prepped, and routed by the technician each morning. Once routed, the technician drives to each account to complete the order. Completion of the order can consist of posting the door with past due notices, interaction with the customer to remedy past due bills, assisting the customer in the payment process, and possibly disconnecting service at the meter. Completed jobs are closed, real time, in the field, using the laptop and wireless hotspot.
· Employees use their own vehicle. Vehicle needs to be reliable, well maintained, and insured.
· Employees earn a non-taxed vehicle reimbursement for using their vehicle.
· Primary work area includes Minneapolis and the surrounding suburbs.
Expectations:
· Must represent the utility company and RMR Services in a professional manner.
· Must demonstrate and apply excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Can demonstrate basic computer skills.
· Can demonstrate basic mechanical skills.
· Must have the ability to work alone with little supervision.
· Must be physically able to exert in excess of 30 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 10 lbs of force frequently while using a pipe wrench.
· Must be physically able to sit, squat, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods of time throughout the day.
· Need to be self-motivated to be successful.
· Ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and criminal background check.
