The studio offers programs for dancers of all skill levels, ranging from beginners to advanced, through a variety of formats such as group classes, private group sessions, and one-on-one instruction. In addition to offering high-quality studio classes, we are proud to partner with several local school districts to provide accessible after-school dance programs. Our staff travel to schools and educate students in the fundamentals of dance, entertain through engaging and creative movement, and excite them to discover the joy of dancing.
Role Description
RMH Dance is seeking passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as After-School Dance Instructors. Instructors will teach elementary and middle school students at local school sites throughout the Whittier/626 area during after-school hours. This role is ideal for dancers (MUST BE 17 ) who enjoy working with children and are excited to make a positive impact through movement, creativity, and fun.
Qualifications
- Passion for dance and enthusiasm for teaching
- Ability to adapt choreography to fit student skill levels
- Patient, energetic, and confident working with groups of children
- Experience teaching dance and/or working with children (preferred but not required)
- Ability to manage groups of students in a school or after-school setting
- Reliable transportation to school sites in the Whittier / 626 area
- Professional, responsible, and positive attitude
