What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at RMC?
Cargo Largo is a dynamic, growth company. Our ~500 associates process and sell new products, including many popular brands, via retail, ecommerce (eBay) and on-site bid auctions. We are located in a new 524,000 sq. ft. HQ in Independence, Missouri. Our positive, friendly culture is truly world class.
1st shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday). Flexible start time set by you between 7:00 - 8:30 AM.
Pay Rate: $85,000 based on experience. Substantial opportunity to increase responsibility/pay.
What you’ll be doing
- Enhance/produce vital management tools, e.g., Company scorecard (40% of time)
- Perform weekly/monthly journal entries, reconcile variances (30% of time)
- Process payroll and report for nine operating groups
- Perform daily deposit reconciliations
- Go beyond data to synthesize, detect trends, resolve incongruities
What we want from you
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 2-4 years of progressive accounting
- High level of proficiency with Excel
- Superior attention to detail and organization
- Hands on Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) and/or UKG payroll desirable
