Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, tankers, and flatbeds to transport materials, equipment, and personnel across construction sites.
- Skillfully operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks to perform earthmoving, grading, paving, and site preparation tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with horizontal drilling operations and other specialized construction activities requiring precise equipment handling.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during equipment operation to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to coordinate transportation schedules and equipment usage efficiently.
- Maintain detailed logs of vehicle usage, inspections, maintenance records, and operational reports.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks and specialized vehicles.
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including paving, grading, horizontal drilling, and tanker work.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and transportation in construction environments.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
