Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle needs and concerns
- Provide detailed information about automotive services, repairs, and maintenance options
- Assist customers in scheduling appointments for oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and other automotive diagnostics
- Upsell additional services or products that enhance vehicle performance and safety while maintaining transparency
- Manage auto estimating and service writing to ensure accurate documentation of work orders and repair details
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent cash handling procedures
- Collaborate with technicians and mechanics to coordinate service timelines and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or background in automotive service management is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignments, suspension systems, tire servicing, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair
- Experience with automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Sales experience related to automobile sales or upselling automotive services is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on mechanic experience will be considered a strong asset
