Claims Manager

• Work Environment: Office setting with some travel may be required for meetings or site visits.

• Reporting Structure: Reports to the Vice President of Operations, Transportation

• Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

• Pay Range: $70,000 minimum to $90,000 maximum

• Location: Either Newfield or Mt. Laurel, New Jersey

• Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor transportation claims team, working across Freight Brokerage and Freight Consolidation businesses, to ensure prompt and accurate claims investigation and processing

• Develop and implement claim procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy

• Review and analyze claim reports and make decisions on appeals and disputes

• Provide technical expertise to the operations team

• Liaise with all stakeholders to properly manage claims

• Train and mentor related team members to ensure quality and consistency

• Identify trends and patterns in claims for management review

• Oversee and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

• Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to claim handling

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Claims Manager or similar role in the transportation industry

• Minimum number of 5 years of experience

• Strong knowledge of claims, procedures, and policies

• Excellent leadership and team management skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Excel and other MS platforms

• Proficiency in claim management software and databases

• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

• BSc degree in Business Administration or relevant field
