What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Manager position at RLJ MANAGEMENT?
Manage scattered site, second property is in Frankfort, Ohio
1. Property Maintenance: Ensuring that the properties are well-maintained and in compliance with HUD regulations. This includes performing regular inspections, conducting repairs, and addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
2. Tenant Relations: Managing tenant relations by addressing tenant inquiries, concerns, and complaints. This includes enforcing lease agreements, handling evictions if necessary, and promoting a positive living environment for residents.
3. Rent Collection: Collecting rent from tenants in a timely manner and enforcing rent payment policies. This includes processing rent payments, managing delinquent accounts, and taking appropriate action when necessary.
4. Financial Management: Overseeing the financial aspects of the properties, including budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting. This may involve working closely with accounting teams or financial software systems.
5. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and guidelines. This includes staying updated on changes in HUD policies, completing required paperwork and documentation, and participating in HUD inspections or audits.
6. Marketing and Advertising: Implementing marketing strategies to attract potential tenants to the properties. This may involve creating advertisements, conducting property tours, and utilizing online platforms to promote the availability of HUD housing units.
7. Team Management: Supervising property maintenance staff, leasing agents, and other personnel involved in property operations. This includes providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective property management.
8. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to property management activities, tenant interactions, financial transactions, and compliance requirements.
Must have Tax Credit experience.
